I came across a copy of the 1961 children's book One Snail and Me, written by Emilie Warren McLeod and illustrated by Walter Lorraine at a used book store many yearg ago, and immediately fell in love. The colors, the story, the illustrations - it's all magical.
 
This one-of-a-kind beanie features original patterning inspired by this beloved book. It is knit with comfortable 2x2 rib hem hem and is hand loomed on a knitting machine out of domestic 100% wool.
